How do I find the right size and fit?

At Converse, finding the perfect fit for you matters. That's why we provide tools to help you determine the right size, so you'll feel as great as you look in your new sneakers and apparel.

MEASURE OUR FEET

Converse sizing is unique and sneaker-specific. While Converse Standard Sneakers are expected to run true to size, be sure to use the size chart associated with each product to ensure a comfortable fit. If you're uncertain, refer to the size message located above the size selector on the specific product page.

Before you begin measurements, slip on the type of socks you'll wear with your sneakers. We recommend measuring feet in the afternoon, as feet typically swell throughout the day. Make sure your weight is evenly distributed before measuring.

STEP 1: Stand up straight on a hard surface with your heel against the wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor, flush against the wall beneath your foot.

STEP 2: Enlist the help of a friend to mark the longest part of your foot (referred to as heel-to-toe length) on the paper with a pen or pencil - or measure yourself if necessary. Repeat with the other foot, as sizing may vary. (Your feet are sisters, not twins.)

STEP 3: Use a ruler to measure the heel-to-toe length marked for each foot.

What is Converse's personalization policy?

We love helping our customers express themselves with Personal ID - a customized message that can be added to many Converse sneakers. That being said, all Personal ID messages must meet our guidelines.

If your Personal ID is rejected as you customize your sneakers on Converse.com, you'll be prompted to enter a new Personal ID before you can complete the customization process. Your Personal ID will be rejected if it does not adhere to guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.

Personal ID Guidelines

Length and character guidelines appear on-screen as you customize (for example, 3 uppercase and/or numeric characters). The length and character options vary by sneaker style, and not all languages or special characters are supported.

To protect the style and integrity of our brand, your Personal ID will be rejected if it contains any of the following:

• Profanity
• Inappropriate slang
• Insulting or discriminatory content
• Content construed to incite violence
• Content that we do not accept as a reflection of our brand

The App as a Shopping Remote Control

The central element in the pilot store is a further development of the existing Bonprix App. With the app, the customer checks into the store, scans the items, and selects the sizes he or she wants to try on. The selected garments are stored in the app's virtual shopping bag and made available directly in the fitting room. Bonprix relies on the "One-Item- Presentation" concept for the realization of the store design: each item of clothing and each accessory is presented only once in a total of 12 theme worlds.

Individual Service Intended to Create a Pleasant Atmosphere

After the desired articles have been recorded via QR code and app, a dressing room is individually prepared for the customer. The preparation time can be spent at the fashion bar in the store. The customer is then invited to the fitting room reserved for him/her, where the items ordered have been prepared for fitting. The cabin has four selectable lighting scenarios.

A display reflects the contents of the Bonprix App and shows the next steps. If an item of clothing does not fit, a different size can be reordered directly in the fitting room via the app. If a personal consultation is desired or help is needed, a fashion assistant can be notified via app.

Quick Check-Out

In order to avoid long waiting times at a conventional checkout, the customer can choose from various payment options. To do so, the customer leaves the fitting room with the desired items and the app's shopping bag is automatically updated. Integrated RFID technology records all items that are taken by the customer. The customer can pay via PayPal directly in the app, by EC or credit card at the self-checkout or, if desired, in cash at the checkout counter. An additional security measure is not necessary.

Moving images and themed worlds at Bonprix

What is also noticeable is that each part only hangs here once, arranged in themed worlds that are often rearranged. Screens with moving image content show what is currently to be discovered in the respective worlds. Farfetch, the online luxury pure-player, has unveiled its 'Store of the Future' (SOF) during its FarfetchOS conference in London on April 12th.

This event, as well as this SOF, aim to drive changes in luxury retail and encourage innovations. The beta version of the 'Store of the Future' will include augmented reality shopping experience, emotion-scanning software, innovative payments solutions to bring together online and offline worlds. Farfetch will use data to improve the customer journey and offer a personalized experience. According to a new study from Bain & Company, 70% of luxury purchases today are influenced by online interactions. The fusion of online and offline experiences is key as stores still play a major role in luxury retail (75% of luxury purchases will still occur in a physical store by 2025).

This is why Farfetch decided to blend physical and digital channels to reach sleek and unique customer's experience. They will enhance the physical shopping experience, strengthen emotional connection (so important for luxury brands) but also collect key data on how customers behave in luxury stores.

As a result, Farfecth will implement a scanner for customers to 'log in' with their smartphones when they enter the store, which will allow sales assistants to view customers' profiles, including their purchase history or what they saved to an online wish list. The connected clothing rack will record items customers pick up, storing them in a smartphone app where they can later swipe left or swipe right to edit selections. Another technology will be smart mirrors allowing shoppers to request items in another size or color, browse for alternatives and even pay without leaving the dressing room. Finally, Farfetch also developed a holographic display that enables customers to create and order customized shoes, allowing them to try various colors or leathers.

Farfetch and the Store of the Future

Farfetch began as an ecommerce platform that connects consumers in 190 countries to over 500 boutiques globally[2]. Employing an asset-light model, the company holds no inventory and has instead invested in building considerable capabilities in logistics and technology. In fact, ~1,000 of its 2,000 employees are engineers, a number that is expected to increase to 1,600 in 2018[3]. Farfetch.com generated $800mm of GMV (gross merchandise value) in 2016, translating to an estimated ~$200mm of sales (20-25% commission)[4]. Keenly focused on scaling its international presence, the company has partnered with a number of leading ecommerce players in high-growth geographies. Earlier this year, it announced a JV with the Chalhoub Group, one of the largest fashion and luxury goods distributors in the Middle East[4]. In 2017, Farfetch partnered with JD.com, China's second largest ecommerce company, and took over Style.com, previously Condé Nast's fashion ecommerce site[4]. The company is rumored to IPO later this year[4].

Value to Boutiques / Brands

To boutiques, Farfetch serves to bridge the gap between offline and online, especially as many of them do not have the know-how or human capital to develop their own digital capabilities. Boutiques agree to utilize Farfetch's inventory management platform, and is able to enjoy access to an international customer base that it would otherwise be unable to tap into. The company also assists with photographing product listings and processing payments. Moreover, the scale of Farfetch enables its partners to benefit from lower logistics costs.

The mobile phone indicates that the changing room is ready, free and stocked with the selected items. Without the customer having to carry the items into the changing room herself, she goes to the area where the changing rooms are located in the store.
