When you create a school on Teachable, you also create a myTeachable account. A myTeachable account allows you to be a user at multiple schools - whether as an owner, student, author or affiliate - and access them from a centralized dashboard. You can connect or disconnect your myTeachable account from a school at any time.

If there is an attempt to log into your Teachable account from an unrecognized device, you will not be able to access your school administrator until you confirm the device. However, you will automatically receive an email notification containing instructions on how to confirm your device for future connections.

Troubleshoot connection issues

Recover your password

If you can't remember your password, follow the instructions in Recover Your Account Password.

Find multiple accounts

In some cases, you can have multiple Teachable accounts with different login information. If you can't find the school you're looking for, try signing in with a different set of login credentials.

Confirm your device

If you are using a new device, you will need to confirm it first. To do this, follow the instructions in the Unrecognized device email section.

Teachable uses browser cookies to authenticate devices. If you are asked to confirm your device each time you log in, make sure you have cookies enabled. Likewise, private or incognito browsers will not store cookies.

If you can't find the confirmation email, check the spam or junk folder in your inbox. Also, be sure to whitelist m@teachable.com in your emails, to avoid further email delivery issues.

Empty the cache

When online, web browsers store - or 'cache' - website resources such as images and scripts. Clearing your browser's cache removes these assets and can help troubleshoot connection issues.

If you are using Google Chrome, click on the menu and select More Tools. Then click on Clear browsing data. Make sure the Cached Image and Files box is checked. See more details on clearing your cache in Google Account Help.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, go to your preferences, then find the Advanced panel. From there, click Clear Now in the Cached Web Content section. See more details on clearing your cache in How to clear the Firefox cache.

Disable third-party browser extensions

Some third-party extensions - for example, password managers - are known to cause problems when signing in to a course. We recommend that you try to sign in in another browser without extensions. If successful, an extension may be the cause.

Once you're sure that an extension may be the problem, test each one by disabling it and reloading the page. If disabling a certain extension fixes the problem, you can identify that extension as the source of the problem. From there, disable or remove the extension.

Activating myTeachable on your school means that any user with a myTeachable account will be able to access your school - and any other school that it is a part of - from the myTeachable dashboard.

There are five main types of user roles in your school: primary owner, owners, authors, affiliates, and students. If you are on the Business plan, you can also create custom user roles, which allow you to choose the privileges to be granted to a user at your school.

There can only be one primary owner in your school; however, depending on your plan, you can have multiple owners and authors (aka user admin level), as well as affiliates. On any plan, you can have an unlimited number of students in your school.

Teachable Experts are third party service providers that help Teachable customers build successful online courses and businesses. They are freelancers (such as web designers or virtual assistants), not teachable employees.

The price varies according to the service and the expert. Some experts charge hourly rates, while others are in retention or use project fees. Follow up with the expert of your choice to learn more about their offerings.

All Teachable experts have gone through an application process with Team Teachable. They have experience with taught clients and a portfolio of successful projects in their area of expertise.

We are not currently accepting new teachable experts. However, if our current experts reach their capacity or if we find that Teachable customers need a new service offering, we may add new experts in the future. Due to the high volume of interest we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to every request.

Refunds are processed by the expert from whom you purchased a service, not by Teachable. (These are third party vendors with their own refund policies.) Please contact the expert you worked with for more information.

Teaching is excellent in itself. However, just like WordPress, there is always the possibility that you want to add additional functionality to your course creation solution. This is where integrations come in. The platform comes with a range of integration options to help you.

As mentioned above, you can build your own custom integrations using a tool like Zapier. This is a great option for a lot of people who want to make very specific connections with their favorite tools. You can even access marketing tools and link to other membership sites. There is also the option to access Vizia with Education, so you can add various forms of engagement to your courses.

Teachable is for bloggers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who want to create and sell online courses to their audience or subscribers.

You can also use Teachable to create a membership site and communicate with your students.

Once you join Teachable, it prompts you to create a school that represents your brand or website. You can link this school to your website using a subdomain name, for example, race.yourdomain.com.

You can customize the look of the school by changing the color scheme of the logo to match your website.

Students choose to join your school before purchasing any of your courses. Or you can give them access to all other courses for one price. It depends on how you want to teach online.

Of course, this is not something that Teachable can help you. I said creating an online course was easy, but I didn't say it was quick!

Once ready, you can upload videos, PDFs, and presentations using a drag-and-drop course builder. Or you can import documents from services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or One Drive.

Teach hosts and backs up your documents so you don't have to worry about losing anything. You also own the course data of your students. If you are concerned, you can export your student data, contact list, and income information at any time.

The best way to communicate with new and existing students is by email. You may want to welcome them into your class, ask for feedback, or let students know about a new module or lesson.

Teachable does not work directly with many email service providers or third party tools unless you are using Zapier. This is how I connected Teachable to my email service provider, ConvertKit.

Teachable provides several sales page templates designed to convert. If you can create a page in WordPress, you can customize these templates.

You can also connect your domain to this school. You can also create a landing page using Clickfunnels or LeadPages and link directly to the Teachable checkout cart.

In general, Teachable is a simple and solid platform. The interface is clean and your learners will have no problem accessing and navigating your courses. In my opinion, its strength lies in the video content. And, Teachable also shines when it comes to simple tools that help support course selling - like, for example, its customizable sales, payment, and thank you pages.

It's also worth noting that Teachable is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, player in its platform category. This is an important point given the large number of companies that have rushed to try and sell online course platforms. Many of them will disappear in a few years. I don't think Teachable will.

As for pricing, Teachable is still offering a free plan as of the time of posting this review. Under this plan, there are no limits on courses or students, but you pay $ 1 plus a 10% transaction fee every time you sell a course.

Paid plans currently start at $ 39 per month ($ 29 if paid annually). With the lowest paid plan, you still pay a 5% transaction fee on all sales. The transaction fees disappear once you advance to the next level.
